The Indian Army expressed disapproval towards Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh and Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Manoj Kumar Jha for their actions aimed at tarnishing the image of the defense forces. The Army highlighted attempts to promote falsehoods about service conditions, incite divisions within the armed forces, and create an “Officer-Men divide.”
The Additional Directorate General of Public Information under the Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army) raised concerns over false and misleading information being spread. The claims made by certain ex-servicemen at an event organized by the two MPs were refuted by the Army.
The Army clarified the status of four individuals mentioned in the press conference. It revealed that Chandu Chavan was discharged for indiscipline, Harendra Yadav was dismissed on similar grounds, Shankar Singh Gujjar was a deserter, and P. Narender was dismissed due to indiscipline.
