Lt Gen Harbinder Singh Vandra, General Officer Commanding, Madhya Bharat Area, under the Central Command of the Indian Army, recently inspected the Army Education Corps (AEC) Centre and School in Pachmarhi. The visit aimed to assess training infrastructure and ongoing development projects. Lt Gen Harbinder Singh Vandra was briefed on initiatives to enhance training standards and improve station facilities during the visit.
During the inspection, Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, GOC-in-C Surya Command, visited the 510 Army Base Workshop and Golden Key Division to evaluate combat readiness and ongoing technology absorption efforts. At the 510 Army Base Workshop, the Army Commander was briefed on the repair, overhaul, and maintenance capabilities for new-generation equipment and critical weapon systems. Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta praised the unit’s efforts in developing internal expertise and reducing reliance on external sources for equipment availability.
The visits underscored the Indian Army’s commitment to self-reliance, faster equipment turnaround, and future-ready capabilities in alignment with the Make In India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. The focus remains on enhancing mission readiness through the effective adoption of modern systems and technologies for training, operations, and capability development.
