Organized by the Indian Army as part of ‘Operation Sadbhavana’, the Fusion of Bands Season 3 grand finale in Nagaland highlighted the state’s diverse musical talent and emphasized cultural unity and youth involvement.
The event, held at Bhagat Stadium, Rangapahar Military Station, showcased talented bands from the region, reflecting the Army’s dedication to fostering goodwill, creativity, and unity through music.
Acting Nagaland Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, along with other dignitaries, attended the finale, emphasizing the role of music and culture in promoting social cohesion and unity.
Six finalist bands from different districts of Nagaland competed, with Desi Rewind from Mokokchung emerging as the winner, followed by Jack in the Box from Dimapur securing the second prize.
Each finalist received recognition for their talent, with Desi Rewind winning the first prize of Rs 3.5 lakh, Jack in the Box securing Rs 2.5 lakh, and NTTB-Nikato Tamang and the Band from Dimapur finishing third with Rs 1.5 lakh.
The competition, judged by a panel of distinguished music personalities, also featured performances by guest artistes, enriching the evening and celebrating the cultural diversity of Nagaland.
The successful conclusion of Fusion of Bands – Season 3 reaffirmed the Indian Army’s commitment to nurturing youth talent, embracing cultural differences, and strengthening civil–military relationships in Nagaland.
