Dynamic Delhi-based fast bowlers Mayank Yadav and Prince Yadav showcased aggressive bowling skills, limiting Zimbabwe to 125/7 in the initial T20I at Harare Sports Club. Opting to bowl first, captain Shreyas Iyer led a pace-heavy attack that troubled the hosts, with Mayank’s precise bowling yielding 2-18 and Prince contributing with 2-19. Despite a shaky start at 32/4, Zimbabwe’s middle order, led by Wessly Madhevere and Tadiwanashe Marumani, pushed the total past 120.

Returning from injury, Mayank Yadav made an immediate impact by dismissing Brian Bennett for a duck on the first ball with a sharp delivery. Debutant Ashok Sharma faced early challenges but Prince Yadav’s consistent pressure kept Zimbabwe on the defensive. The Indian bowlers maintained control throughout, with Shivam Dube and Ravi Bishnoi also contributing crucial wickets to restrict the hosts.

Zimbabwe’s Ryan Burl and Madhevere attempted a late resurgence with aggressive strokes, but India’s bowlers, led by Prince Yadav, closed out the innings effectively. Despite some resistance, including Madhevere’s 39 and Marumani’s unbeaten 27, Zimbabwe fell short of a competitive total against India’s disciplined bowling attack.
