Indian Boxers Shine at Asian Boxing Championships in Tashkent

India’s young boxers showcased impressive performances at the Asian Boxing U15 & U17 Championships 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. In the U-17 category, Yadav Yash secured a dominant victory over Turkmenistan’s Suleyman Ahmedov, while Karuna Albertson Kom and Gopal Rameshwar Ganeshe had notable bouts. Mishra Prashant faced a tough opponent from China but displayed resilience.

In the U-15 girls’ quarterfinals, Khushi Rana and Hanshika Attri stood out with their wins, while Nitya Pandey faced a defeat against Kazakhstan’s Aruna Shalman. Among the U-15 boys, Samir Bohra secured a convincing victory in the preliminary round against Chinese Taipei’s Hao-Ting Chang.

The Indian contingent at the championships also saw impressive performances from U-17 girls, with Neela Narendra Kumar and Daksh Pawar showcasing their skills. The tournament in Tashkent continues to witness a mix of commanding wins and closely contested bouts, highlighting India’s promising talent across different age groups.
