Indian cricketer Nitish Kumar Reddy, after a victorious match against Afghanistan, paused his press conference to answer a call from his mother. Despite being questioned by the media, Reddy picked up the call in Telugu, promising to call back in five minutes. The BCCI shared the heartwarming incident on social media, highlighting the importance of family over professional commitments.

Netizens lauded Reddy’s gesture, emphasizing the significance of family priorities. Reddy, a 23-year-old allrounder, played a crucial role in the match, taking two key wickets and helping India restrict Afghanistan to 194 runs. Skipper Shubman Gill’s stellar performance with the bat ensured India’s victory with 13 balls to spare, showcasing a dominant display of skill and determination.
