Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to France, members of the Indian diaspora in Nice expressed their excitement, feeling fortunate for the opportunity to see him and noting increased respect for Indians in France under his leadership.
Speaking to the Indian community in Nice, a member of the diaspora shared, “I am feeling very happy that the Indian Prime Minister is coming to Nice. It is a matter of pride for all of us.” Another member, Shubham, a chef, expressed happiness over PM Modi’s visit, highlighting the positive foreign relations India has built.
Acknowledging PM Modi’s global visits, Shubham mentioned, “Because of PM Modi’s foreign visits, relations between countries have improved. The respect for Indians has increased.” He also noted the enhanced facilities and respect Indians receive in France, emphasizing the significance of the Prime Minister’s visit.
Another member of the diaspora expressed regret at missing the chance to see PM Modi in person but conveyed happiness about his visit, stating, “It feels great that the Prime Minister is coming here. He will address the community, and many Indians will gather to see him.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit France and Slovakia, focusing on defense cooperation with French President Emmanuel Macron. The visit aims to strengthen India’s military capabilities amid growing strategic competition in key maritime regions. PM Modi will hold talks with President Macron in Nice and later visit Evian and Paris.
