Members of the Indian diaspora in Israel are thrilled about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, considering it a significant day for them and all Indians worldwide. Expressing their excitement, community members highlighted the importance of Modi’s meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. One member, residing in Israel for 12 years, recalled their previous encounter with Modi in 2017 and expressed joy at the current visit, emphasizing the positive impact on the community.
Another member shared the collective happiness and anticipation surrounding Modi’s visit, believing it would lead to crucial decisions benefiting both India and the diaspora in Israel. Describing the day as historic, a third member emphasized the strong bond between India and Israel, especially showcased through the joint presence of Modi and Netanyahu. Additionally, community members expressed hope that the visit would address various sector-related concerns, such as caregiving, construction, and agriculture.
Prime Minister Modi, ahead of his engagements with Netanyahu, expressed eagerness to enhance cooperation and discuss regional and global issues. This visit marks Modi’s second trip to Israel, following the 2017 visit that paved the way for advancements in defense, agriculture, and water management. Modi emphasized the robust Strategic Partnership between India and Israel, focusing on science, technology, innovation, agriculture, defense, trade, and people-to-people ties.
During his visit, PM Modi is scheduled to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog to discuss bilateral matters and strengthen ties further.
