Pranavi, known for her top-10 finish at the Hero Women’s Indian Open, struggled on the demanding North Course in Germany. Avani Prashanth also had a tough day, finishing with a 5-over 78. Both golfers will need a strong performance in the next rounds to avoid an early exit from the tournament.
Experienced golfer Vani Kapoor had a challenging outing, finishing with a score of 10-over 83. With the projected cut expected at 1-under-par, all three Indian golfers face an uphill task to stay in contention. Meanwhile, local German players dominated the leaderboard, with Leonie Harm setting a new course record.
Indian golf followers are hopeful that Pranavi, Avani, and Vani can bounce back in the second round to keep India’s hopes alive in Hamburg.
