Indian gymnast Yogeshwar Singh has qualified for the men’s all-around final at the Commonwealth Games. Singh emphasized the importance of continuous learning for aspiring athletes and praised India’s progress in gymnastics. He noted the country’s advancements in coaching, infrastructure, and the promising talent emerging in the sport.

Singh highlighted the Commonwealth Games as a significant platform for India, stating it is one of the biggest competitions for the country. He expressed optimism about India’s sports development trajectory, especially in gymnastics, attributing the improvements to increased coaching investments and better facilities. Singh encouraged young athletes to never stop learning and acknowledged the positive direction of Indian gymnastics.

After a strong performance in the qualification round, Yogeshwar Singh secured a spot in the all-around final alongside compatriot Tapan Mohanty. Singh finished 18th overall with 71.400 points, while Mohanty placed 17th with 71.700 points. Additionally, India showed promise in the apparatus events, with Swathish Kaitheri Puthalath and Singh earning reserve spots in the rings and vault finals, respectively.

In the men’s team competition, India ranked seventh overall with a total of 208.550 points. Despite leading initially, India was surpassed by Canada, England, and Australia in later subdivisions. Canada claimed the gold medal with 241.400 points, followed by England and Australia.
