The upcoming episode of Indian Idol will feature a special moment revisiting the legendary bond between singer Mohammed Rafi and late actor Shammi Kapoor through the emotional song ‘Dil Ke Jharokhe Mein’. Lyricist Manoj Muntashir, hosting a tribute episode to Asha Bhosle, shared an anecdote revealing how Shammi Kapoor initially declined to film the song. Shammi Kapoor’s reluctance stemmed from the fear of being unable to hold back tears while picturizing the emotional song composed by Shankar–Jaikishan for the film Brahmachari.

Manoj Muntashir disclosed that Shammi Kapoor had expressed concerns about his ability to control his emotions during the song’s filming due to its poignant nature. Shammi Kapoor had once mentioned in an interview the difficulty he faced in holding back tears while shooting the song, emphasizing the deep emotional connection he felt towards it.
