The Indian men’s hockey team secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over archrivals Pakistan at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre near London. This win marked India’s third outright victory in the Pro League season, propelling them to the seventh position in the points table. Goals from Abhishek, Nilakanta Sharma, Sukhjeet Singh, and Rajinder Singh sealed the victory for India.

The match started with cautious play from both teams, with Pakistan taking an early lead through Ahmad Nadeem’s goal. Despite a slow start, India fought back with goals from Abhishek and Nilakanta Sharma to lead 2-1 at halftime. The Indian team displayed strong defense in the face of Pakistan’s increased tempo in the third quarter.

In a tense final quarter, India maintained their lead as Pakistan attempted a comeback. Captain Abu Mahmood scored for Pakistan, but India held on to secure the win. The match ended with a close score of 4-3 in favor of India, showcasing their resilience and determination.
