The Indian Men’s Hockey Team has set off from Kempegowda International Airport for the European leg of the FIH Hockey Pro League 2025-26. They are heading to Brussels, Belgium, via Abu Dhabi for a preparatory training camp and a friendly match scheduled in Brussels from 7 to 9 June 2026. This training block aims to help the team adjust to European conditions before the Pro League matches.
After the camp in Belgium, the team will proceed to Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on 10 June for the initial phase of their European campaign. In Rotterdam, India will compete against Germany and the Netherlands in the FIH Hockey Pro League from 14 to 21 June 2026. Following this, the squad will travel to London, England, to face Pakistan and England in the second phase of the European leg from 23 to 28 June 2026.
During the tour, India will play each of the four opponents twice, with matches against Pakistan scheduled for June 23 and June 26. Ahead of their departure, Indian Men’s Hockey Team captain Harmanpreet Singh expressed confidence in the team’s preparations and enthusiasm for the upcoming challenges. He highlighted the importance of playing fearlessly, maintaining discipline in crucial moments, and evolving as a cohesive unit.
Harmanpreet emphasized the team’s focus on consistent plan execution, continuous improvement, and making the most of the tour. The Pro League serves as a vital platform for India to gain experience, enhance team dynamics, and progress collectively.
