Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita met with Honduras Secretary of Culture, Arts, and Heritage Yasser Handal Carcamo to strengthen people-to-people ties and cooperation in arts, yoga, wellness, cinema, and cultural exchanges. Margherita’s visit to Honduras aims to enhance bilateral relations following the country’s recent elections and new government formation.
During his stay in Costa Rica, Margherita engaged in discussions with Minister of Science, Innovation, Technology, and Telecommunications Paula Bogantes Zamora to explore avenues for deepening ties between India and Costa Rica. The meetings emphasized supporting Indian businesses, capacity building, and fostering a stronger bilateral relationship.
In addition to his official meetings, Margherita interacted with the Indian community in both Honduras and Costa Rica, acknowledging their contributions and highlighting the shared values between India and the host countries. The minister’s engagements underscored the importance of cultural exchange, environmental sustainability, and global cooperation in promoting peace and harmony.
Margherita’s visit also included symbolic gestures such as inaugurating the ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ Wall at the University for Peace in San Jose, paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, and emphasizing India’s commitment to ecological responsibility. These events further showcased India’s cultural heritage and its dedication to fostering international goodwill and understanding.
