The Indian Muslims for Civil Rights (IMCR) expressed deep sorrow at the passing of Maulana Syed Salman Husaini Nadwi, a renowned Islamic scholar, author, and orator. IMCR highlighted Maulana Nadwi’s lifelong dedication to promoting Islam, advancing Islamic education, guiding the Muslim community, and nurturing the intellectual and moral growth of youth. His demise has left a notable void in the realm of Islamic intellect and scholarship, according to the organization.
IMCR Chairman Mohammad Adeeb, a former Member of Parliament, fondly remembered his association with Maulana Nadwi and praised the late scholar’s exceptional qualities. Adeeb emphasized Maulana Nadwi’s intelligence, knowledge, eloquence, and leadership, noting his transformation into a revered orator, preacher, scholar, and thinker who represented Indian Muslims worldwide.
Adeeb further lauded Maulana Nadwi’s advocacy for Islamic education and his courageous stance on contemporary social and intellectual issues affecting the Muslim community.
