Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Krishna Swaminathan reiterated his dedication on Sunday to uphold the Indian Navy’s peak operational readiness and combat efficiency in safeguarding the nation’s security and economic concerns.
Admiral Swaminathan stressed the significance of ‘JAI’ – Jointness, Atmanirbharata (self-reliance), and Indigenisation. He assumed the role of Chief of Navy Staff after receiving command from Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, who retired from military service the same day. Additionally, he honored fallen soldiers by laying wreaths at the National War Memorial.
In his address to the media upon assuming office as the Indian Navy Chief, Admiral Swaminathan expressed deep humility, responsibility, pride, and gratitude. He acknowledged the honor and privilege bestowed upon him by the country’s top leadership, emphasizing his commitment to serving the Indian Navy and the nation.
