The Indian Navy’s tableau for the Republic Day Parade 2026 will highlight the theme ‘Strong Navy for a Strong Nation’ featuring various ships, including INS Vikrant and the INSV Kaundinya. The display will also include Gurab class ships of the Maratha Navy, indigenous platforms like INS Himgiri and INS Udayagiri, a Kalvari-class submarine, and the GSAT-7R communication satellite.

Vice Admiral Praveen Nair emphasized that the Navy’s participation in the parade signifies not just military prowess but also its commitment to promoting “Aatmanirbharta.” The marching contingent of 144 young naval personnel will symbolize the Navy’s strength and progressiveness on the historic Kartavya Path.

The contingent, led by Lt Karan Nagyal, will represent a diverse mix of sailors from different States and Union Territories, showcasing unity in diversity. The Indian Navy Band, under the leadership of M Antony Raj, will present captivating musical performances during the Beating Retreat Ceremony on January 29, 2026.

A Defence Ministry official mentioned that the Indian Air Force and Indian Army will also have their Republic Day Parade Press Previews on January 22 and January 23, 2026, respectively.
