Indian skeet shooters failed to secure spots in the finals for both the men’s and women’s events at the ISSF World Cup Shotgun held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Olympians Mairaj Ahmad Khan and Raiza Dhillon were the top-performing Indian athletes. Mairaj improved his standing from 26th to 18th place after scoring 119, while Bhavtegh Singh Gill finished just below him in 19th place with the same score.
Olympian Anantjeet Singh Naruka concluded his first World Cup of the season in 38th place with a total score of 117. National champion Gurjoat Singh Khangura finished in 54th place with a score of 115, and Abhay Singh Sekhon secured 71st place with a total of 113 while competing for ranking points.
In the women’s event, Ganemat Sekhon dropped to 33rd place after scoring 112, whereas Raiza Dhillon achieved the highest position among Indian athletes, securing 17th place with a score of 115. Parinaaz Dhaliwal finished in 32nd place with a score of 112, followed by Vanshika Tiwari and Rashmmi Rathore in 29th and 47th places, respectively, while competing for ranking points.
