The Indian sub-junior men’s team had a successful day at the FIH Youth Hockey5s Asian Championship 2026 in Muscat. They defeated Pakistan 7-3 after beating Oman 10-1 earlier. Meanwhile, the Indian sub-junior women’s team fought hard but lost 3-6 to China in their Elite Pool match.
In a thrilling match, the Indian Men’s Team dominated against Pakistan with a 7-3 victory. They took an early lead and were up 3-0 at half-time. India’s attacking prowess continued in the second half, securing a comfortable win.
Earlier in the day, the Indian Men’s Team showcased their skills against Oman, winning 10-1. They led 6-0 at half-time and added four more goals in the second half. Oman managed a late consolation goal.
In the women’s match, India put up a tough fight against China, with the score tied at 3-3 at half-time. However, China pulled ahead in the second half, securing a 6-3 win.
The tournament also serves as the Asian qualifier for the first FIH Youth Hockey5s World Cup.
