India’s young tennis talent, Srishti Kiran, secured victory in the Girls’ Singles category at the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J30 event in Huamantla, Mexico. The 13-year-old player from Bengaluru triumphed over 17-year-old Tamara Herman from Mexico with a score of 6–4, 6–4 in the final, marking her third consecutive ITF title win. Kiran’s remarkable journey to the championship included a remarkable semifinal comeback where she won 10 straight games to defeat Miranda Sofia Escamilla Morales from Mexico.
With a display of strong consistency and confidence, Kiran showcased her skills against tough international competitors, gaining valuable experience and proudly representing India on the ITF World Junior circuit. In a previous achievement, the young prodigy from Karnataka claimed her first international junior title at the ITF J30 in Cabarete, Dominican Republic in 2025. Following this, she continued her winning streak by clinching both the singles and doubles titles the following week.
Partnering with Briana Houlgrave from the Bahamas, Kiran also secured the doubles title by defeating the British duo of Jessica Morrison and Ava Moss in the final. Her training at the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA) has been instrumental in shaping her into one of India’s most promising young talents. Kiran first gained attention for her unbeaten performance while representing India at the ATF U-12 Girls’ Team Championship finals in August 2023.
Recognized for her exceptional performance, Kiran played a pivotal role in India’s victory at the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) U-12 Girls’ Team Championship in 2023. Her talent was further acknowledged when she joined the prestigious RPS Academy in Florida under the guidance of renowned coach Gabe Jaramillo, after being identified at the Asian Tennis Federation’s Orange Ball program.
