Indian tennis player Yuki Bhambri has achieved a significant career milestone by reaching a career-high ranking of world No. 20 in the latest ATP Rankings. This accomplishment marks Bhambri as the first Indian men’s doubles player to break into the Top 20 after Rohan Bopanna. Bhambri’s climb to this elite position follows a strong performance in recent tournaments, including the Australian Open.
Partnering with Sweden’s Andre Goransson, Bhambri showcased his talent at the Australian Open in Melbourne, advancing to the third round and securing crucial ranking points. Despite a narrow loss in the following round, Bhambri’s consistent form and impressive gameplay have propelled him into the Top 20 rankings. Bhambri’s journey to this achievement has been marked by notable successes, including reaching the US Open semifinals in 2025.
Having claimed his first ATP 500 title at the Dubai Tennis Championships in March 2025, Bhambri has demonstrated his prowess on the court. Additionally, he recently became India’s No. 1 doubles player, ending Rohan Bopanna’s long-standing reign at the top. Looking ahead, Bhambri is set to participate in the ATP 500 swing in the Middle East, aiming to further enhance his ATP ranking and contribute to the Indian Davis Cup team.
