The Indian Women’s Hockey Team secured a dominant 6-0 win against Chile in the semi-finals of the FIH Hockey Women’s Nations Cup New Zealand 2025-26. Navneet Kaur, Deepika, Neha, and Rutuja Dadaso Pisal scored for India, with captain Salima Tete named ‘Player of the Match’. India advanced to the final, where they will face the winner of the USA versus New Zealand match.
After a strong start controlling possession, India took the lead with Navneet’s goal in the 6th minute from a penalty corner. Navneet scored again in the 13th minute off a cross from Salima. Deepika added two more goals through penalty corners in the 14th and 18th minutes, taking India’s lead to 4-0.
Heading into the second half with a 4-0 lead, India continued their dominance. Neha scored from a penalty corner in the 32nd minute, extending India’s lead to 5-0. Rutuja Dadaso Pisal added another goal in the 39th minute with a reverse hit. Despite Chile’s efforts, India’s goalkeeper Savita made crucial saves to secure a commanding 6-0 victory.
