In the opening match on April 13, Navneet Kaur (22’) and Annu (29’) scored for India in a closely contested game. Although Argentina emerged victorious with a 4-2 scoreline, India showcased strong attacking prowess throughout the match.
During the second match on April 14, Ishika (22’) put India ahead early on, but Argentina secured a narrow 2-1 win with Agustina Gorzelany (34’, 48’) scoring twice. India found their stride in the third match on April 16, claiming a 2-1 win with goals from Navneet Kaur (26’) and Neha (37’).
The series finale on April 17 ended in a hard-fought 0-0 draw in regular time, with India eventually triumphing 3-2 in a shootout. The Indian defenders put up a strong performance, maintaining a clean sheet throughout the match.
The team will now head back home to continue their training camp, building on the positive outcomes of the tour. This experience against a top-tier opponent on foreign soil has been crucial for their development.
