The Indian Women’s League 2025-26’s second phase is scheduled to commence on April 27, 2026, in Kolkata. The opening match will feature East Bengal FC against Sribhumi FC at the East Bengal Ground at 19:00 IST, a fixture postponed from Phase 1. Phase 1, held from December 20, 2025, to January 9, 2026, included 27 matches before a break of over three months to accommodate national team commitments and continental competitions.
A total of 29 matches will be played in Phase 2 from April 27 to May 18, with the eight participating teams facing each other in the league’s double round-robin format. The matches will take place at the AIFF National Centre of Excellence and the East Bengal Ground, with all games kicking off at 15:00 and 19:00 IST. Defending champions East Bengal FC currently lead the table with 18 points from six matches, while Sesa FA and Kickstart FC are positioned in the relegation spots with one and six points, respectively.
At the conclusion of the season, the team with the highest points tally will be crowned champions, while the seventh and eighth-placed teams will face relegation to IWL 2 for the next season. The top two teams from the IWL 2 2025-26 final round will earn promotion to the following season’s IWL 2026-27.
