Indian women’s team player Richa Ghosh praised her experienced teammates for helping her regain form for the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Ghosh’s explosive performances, including a crucial 17-ball 34 against Pakistan, have been instrumental in India’s success.

Before her recent standout knocks, Ghosh had struggled with only 18 runs in four innings. Now, fully back in form, she remains confident as India faces the Netherlands at Headingley. Ghosh emphasized the importance of staying focused and working on her game during lean spells.

Ghosh sought advice from senior players like Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana, who encouraged her to play her natural game. Despite the Netherlands’ impressive debut in the World Cup, Ghosh and her team are not underestimating their opponents and are prepared for a tough match in Leeds.

The rise of Indian women’s cricket has inspired many, with the Women’s Premier League playing a crucial role in the team’s success. Netherlands’ head coach Neil MacRae commended India’s progress in promoting women’s cricket globally. He expressed pride in his team’s performance in their World Cup opener and sees the tournament as an opportunity to elevate Dutch cricket on the world stage.
