The Indian women’s team, along with coach Amol Muzumdar, is backing the Men in Blue in their quest to win the ICC T20 World Cup at home. India is eyeing several milestones in the final, including becoming the first host team to secure the T20 World Cup title and aiming to defend their championship while vying for a third T20 World Cup victory.
Last year, the Women in Blue clinched their maiden ICC title by triumphing over South Africa in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 final. Now, they are showing support for the men’s team as they gear up for the T20 World Cup final. The BCCI Women released a video featuring coach Muzumdar, players like Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, and Sneh Rana, all sending their best wishes to Team India.
Coach Muzumdar expressed his excitement for the World Cup Finals at the Narendra Modi Stadium, anticipating a vibrant atmosphere for the crucial match. Players like Deepti Sharma and Jemimah Rodrigues also extended their support to the Men in Blue, urging them to bring the trophy home with their spirited performances on the field.
India has reached the T20 World Cup final for the fourth time, a record among all teams. The team is aiming to make history by winning the title as hosts, defending their championship, and securing a third T20 World Cup victory. Notably, in the previous T20 World Cup finals, the chasing side has emerged victorious in six out of nine matches, with India clinching two titles in thrilling last-over finishes in 2007 and 2024.
