Sehrawat triumphed over Georgia’s Roberti Dingashvili with a 13-3 victory by technical superiority in the final match. This victory adds to Sehrawat’s impressive international achievements, including being India’s youngest individual Olympic medallist and U23 World Wrestling Champion.
The Indian national team also celebrated another medal in the 61kg freestyle category, with Deepak claiming a hard-fought bronze. Deepak exhibited determination in a closely contested match against Azerbaijan’s Nuraddin Novruzov, securing victory with a score of 9-8. India’s wrestling contingent is poised for more success in the 65kg freestyle division, with Kumar Mohit and Vishal Kaliraman competing for bronze medals against Kazakh opponents.
