Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman highlighted India’s AI-ready talent pool and industry-supported skilling initiatives, emphasizing the rise of the country’s middle class. Speaking at a panel discussion in France, she noted how these factors are positioning India as a top choice for Global Capability Centres.

Sitharaman pointed out that the adoption of artificial intelligence is creating new avenues for growth, with a focus on preparing the workforce for emerging technologies. She stressed that India’s AI-prepared talent is driving innovation and solidifying the nation’s status as a preferred hub for Global Capability Centres.

The Finance Minister outlined India’s comprehensive approach to enhancing the quality of life and expanding the middle class. This strategy includes affordable housing, skill development programs, internships, and concessional loans to support aspiring entrepreneurs, aiming to transform lives and promote sustainable livelihoods.

The government’s objective, as highlighted by Sitharaman, extends beyond poverty alleviation to empowering citizens for long-term economic security and prosperity. The panel discussion also featured insights from other dignitaries on promoting the growth of a new middle class in the face of evolving global economic dynamics.
