India’s Ambassador to Mongolia, Atul Malhari, took part in Mongolia’s national festival, ‘Naadam 2026,’ at Sukhbaatar Square. The events included a Flag Hoisting ceremony, Military Parade, and Floral Tributes to historical figures. The President, Prime Minister, Speaker of the Parliament, and other dignitaries were also present at the celebrations.
The Indian Embassy in Mongolia conveyed warm greetings to Mongolian nationals on the occasion of Naadam 2026. This festival signifies Mongolia’s Statehood, Unity, Independence, and Cultural Heritage. Former President of Mongolia, Nambaryn Enkhbayar, praised the progress of the Oil Refinery Project Dornogovi, supported by India.
India’s Ambassador, along with the Former President of Mongolia, visited the Oil Refinery Project construction site at Dornogovi. The project, backed by a USD 1.7 billion Line of Credit from India, plays a crucial role in Mongolia’s sustainable energy strategy. Enkhbayar highlighted that this project will strengthen bilateral ties and ensure sustainable energy for Mongolia.
