India’s Ambassador Anshuman Gaur met with Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Foreign Minister Elmedin Dino Konakovic to discuss advancing key bilateral initiatives. The discussions focused on enhancing trade and investment ties, promoting movement of people, and facilitating student exchanges between the two countries. Both sides expressed commitment to strengthening their warm and friendly relations, with a shared condemnation of terrorism and extremism.
In a separate meeting in March, Additional Secretary Pooja Kapur engaged with Foreign Minister Konakovic to further bilateral discussions. The discussions emphasized elevating the partnership between India and Bosnia and Herzegovina to new levels, covering areas such as digital transformation and economic cooperation. Both nations expressed readiness to enhance cooperation across various sectors, including defense, agriculture, and renewable energy.
India proposed collaboration in developing digital public infrastructure, digital payments, and e-governance to support Bosnia and Herzegovina’s digital future. The meetings concluded with plans to establish bilateral consultation mechanisms promptly to progress from dialogue to concrete action, leveraging India’s technological expertise to empower its partners.
