Jaishankar engaged with counterparts from the G4 nations during the Munich Security Conference 2026 in Germany.
On a separate occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on her significant electoral win and expressed optimism about the deepening friendship between India and Japan. The leaders had previously met during the G20 Summit in Johannesburg to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation in innovation, defense, talent mobility, and trade relations.
