India’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, recently met with Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs and General Supervisor of Economic and Development Affairs, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi. They discussed bilateral cooperation at international forums and other mutual interests. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia also highlighted the meeting between the two officials, emphasizing the importance of bilateral relations.
Ambassador Khan, who has been serving in Saudi Arabia, is nearing the end of his tenure. The Ministry of External Affairs announced the appointment of Vipul, an Indian Foreign Service officer, as the next Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Both ambassadors expressed gratitude for the opportunity to strengthen India-Saudi Arabia relations and serve their respective nations.
Ambassador Khan, who began his term in Riyadh in January 2023, has also been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Yemen. His successor, Ambassador Vipul, is set to continue fostering the strong bilateral partnership between India and Saudi Arabia, as acknowledged by both officials.
