India’s Chief of Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, spoke to officers at the UAE National Defence College, discussing the changing global security landscape and modern conflict dynamics. He highlighted the leadership role of senior military officers and stressed the importance of collaborative engagements for defense cooperation between nations and regional partners.
During his visit, General Dwivedi engaged with UAE’s Land Forces Commander, Major General Yousef Maayouf Saeed Al Hallami, focusing on enhancing military engagement and bilateral defense cooperation. Discussions emphasized the need for positive military interactions and training convergence to advance mutual interests and global peace.
General Dwivedi also met with India’s Ambassador to the UAE, Deepak Mittal, to strengthen bilateral cooperation, emphasizing military diplomacy and strategic ties. His visit aims to bolster defense cooperation and military-to-military relations with friendly foreign countries, including the UAE and Sri Lanka.
