If claims by director Riyas Marath’s team are to be believed, the eagerly anticipated Malayalam crime thriller ‘Anomie’, starring actors Rahman and Bhavana, has become India’s pioneer in utilizing the sound design software Sound Particles. Actress Bhavana revealed in an Instagram video that this movie marks the first instance of Sound Particles being employed in an Indian film, a tool previously used in movies like ‘Weapons’, ‘Dune’, and ‘Oppenheimer’. ‘Anomie’ was initially set for a January 30 release but will now premiere on February 6, building significant anticipation following the recent teaser launch.
The teaser introduces a narrative emphasizing the universal desire for life and fear of death, intertwined with intense police sequences. Rahman’s character, a police officer, engages in a tense confrontation, hinting at a psychological thriller plotline. Bhavana’s character adds to the suspense by suggesting a connection between the killer and a mysterious individual. The teaser hints at a gripping storyline centered around the pursuit of a psychopath by law enforcement.
In addition to Rahman and Bhavana, the film boasts a cast including Shebin Benson, Vishnu Agasthya, Binu Pappu, and Arjun Lal in key roles. Produced by Dr. Roy CJ, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Blitzkrieg Films, Bhavana, and Aadith Prassanakumar, the movie features music by Harshavardhan Rameshwar and cinematography by Sujith Sarang.
