At the Economist Enterprise ‘Resilient Futures Summit 2026’, experts highlighted India’s expanding role in managing geopolitical uncertainties, enhancing multilateral collaboration, and fostering innovation in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
Danny Quah, a professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, pointed out the impact of evolving global terrorism and changing trade dynamics on the world economy. He stressed the importance of India’s involvement in maintaining peace and restoring global trust, crucial for international cooperation.
Emphasizing India’s unique and positive stance on artificial intelligence, Ian Blatchford, Director of the Science Museum in London, noted the country’s efforts in developing AI capabilities and contemplating its implications. He also commended India’s developmental progress, highlighting its endeavor to balance economic growth with enhancing the quality of life amidst challenges like increasing energy demands.
