India’s Satwik-Chirag and Dhruv-Tanisha Reach Singapore Open 2026 Semifinals

India’s doubles pairs, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty and Dhruv Kapila/Tanisha Crasto, have advanced to the semifinals of the Singapore Open 2026. Satwik-Chirag fought back to defeat Malaysia’s Kang Khai Xing and Aaron Tai in a thrilling match, securing their spot in the semifinals where they will face the world champions from Korea. In mixed doubles, Dhruv-Tanisha progressed after their opponents retired, setting up a match against Japan’s Yuichi Shimogami and Sayaka Hobara.

In men’s singles, Lakshya Sen faced a tough battle against Japan’s Koki Watanabe, ultimately losing in a closely contested match. Meanwhile, PV Sindhu’s campaign ended in the quarterfinals with a defeat against World No.1 An Se Young, extending the Korean’s winning record against the Indian star.

Earlier in the tournament, Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, Satwik-Chirag, and Dhruv-Tanisha had advanced to the quarterfinals with impressive performances. Sindhu and the doubles pairs secured victories, setting up challenging matchups in the next rounds.

In men’s doubles, Satwik and Chirag showed resilience to win their match and will now face a Malaysian pair in the next round. Dhruv and Tanisha, despite a tough start, managed to secure a comeback victory in mixed doubles and are set to face strong opponents in the quarterfinals.
