India’s top 20-ranked 10m Air Rifle shooters have gathered at Lakshya Shooting Club in Navi Mumbai for the upcoming 16th RR Lakshya Cup 2025. The tournament, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, will witness intense competition among the finest junior and senior rifle talents in the country.
Qualification rounds on Saturday will kick off with four relays starting at 09:30, followed by more relays throughout the day. The event will also include free training sessions in the evening. On Sunday, the remaining qualification relays will lead to the Junior and Senior 10m Air Rifle Finals, followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony and Closing Banquet.
The prestigious tournament will showcase talents like Kiran Jadhav, the reigning National Champion and defending Lakshya Cup Senior Champion, along with other notable shooters like Sonam Maskar, Parth Mane, Rajshree Sancheti, and Ojasvi Thakur. The champions will be awarded cash prizes, trophies, and shooting equipment from event partners.
Suma Shirur, Founder and High-Performance Director of Lakshya Shooting Club, emphasized the significance of the Lakshya Cup in nurturing emerging and elite shooters. The competition, known for its gender parity, allows both men and women in the senior category and girls and boys in the junior category to compete on equal grounds.
