India, as the incoming chair for BRICS 2026, is leading the initiative with a theme emphasizing resilience, innovation, cooperation, and sustainability.
The BRICS group evolved from BRIC, with South Africa joining in 2010. The upcoming meeting marks a significant milestone for BRICS, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among emerging economies. The event will culminate with a session dedicated to discussions on strengthening the group’s role in global affairs.
