IT giant Infosys announced that its CEO and Managing Director, Salil Parekh, will resign after leading the company for nine years. Parekh’s departure is set for April 1, 2027, making him the longest-serving non-founder CEO in Infosys’ history. Ashiss Kumar Dash has been appointed as the CEO-Designate to take over Parekh’s role.
The Infosys Board expressed its satisfaction in appointing Dash as the CEO-Designate, emphasizing the need for a leader who can drive significant transformations while upholding the company’s core values and customer trust. Nandan Nilekani, Chairman of the Infosys board, praised Dash’s capabilities, citing the importance of having an internal leader as the next CEO.
Ashiss Kumar Dash, currently overseeing a diverse business portfolio globally, is slated to assume the position of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director on April 1, 2027. Dash’s extensive experience in various leadership roles, including customer-facing businesses and global operations, positions him well to succeed Parekh and continue Infosys’ growth trajectory.
Acknowledging Salil Parekh’s contributions, Nilekani commended his leadership that strengthened Infosys’ market presence, expanded its offerings, and created value for shareholders. Parekh’s tenure has laid a solid foundation for the company’s future growth, marking a significant chapter in Infosys’ journey.
