Inspector General of Police Kashmir Chairs Meeting for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Security

Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, V.K. Birdi, led a coordination meeting with Central Armed Police Forces in Srinagar to enhance security measures for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 and the annual Darbar Move preparedness. The meeting focused on logistical coordination, route security, and emergency response mechanisms.

Various key officials attended the meeting, including representatives from Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Traffic Kashmir, and other security agencies. V.K. Birdi stressed the importance of meticulous planning and inter-agency synergy to ensure a well-coordinated security framework.

Emphasizing joint operational readiness, Birdi urged officers to align their efforts with Central Armed Police Forces for a prompt and effective response to any potential challenges. The review also highlighted the significance of clear communication channels and coordination among all stakeholders to ensure a seamless security setup.

Inspector General Birdi also assessed the preparedness for the annual Darbar Move, instructing officials to focus on security arrangements, traffic management, and the smooth transition of personnel and official records. The J&K Police reiterated its commitment to safeguarding pilgrims and the public during the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and ensuring a secure Darbar Move.
