Internet services in Jaipur were reinstated after a 19-hour suspension due to an anti-encroachment operation in the Jagatpura area. The Jaipur Development Authority demolished over 100 illegal structures, including five religious ones, to widen a road along the railway line.
The operation aimed to expand the road to its approved 80-feet width. To maintain order, mobile internet services were halted from midnight to midnight, but were resumed at 7 p.m. once the operation ended peacefully. Around 3,000 police officers were deployed to ensure security during the demolition.
Drone cameras were used for surveillance, and loudspeaker announcements advised residents against gathering on rooftops. Bulldozers and JCB machines were employed to clear encroachments, including five religious structures. The project is expected to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance connectivity in the area.
