The Consul General of Iran in Mumbai, Saeid Reza Mosayeb Motlagh, highlighted Iran’s gesture of ensuring safe passage for Indian vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, showcasing the enduring friendship between Tehran and New Delhi. Motlagh expressed concern over the gas shortage faced by Indians due to the conflict, emphasizing Iran’s commitment to assisting India during challenging times. Recently, Indian-flagged LPG tankers successfully navigated through the hazardous Strait of Hormuz to deliver critical supplies to India.
Motlagh accused Israel of initiating the conflict by targeting Iran’s oil facilities and leaders, leading to retaliatory actions from Iran against US and Israeli interests in the region. He praised Iran’s resilience in the face of adversity, emphasizing the nation’s peaceful nature despite being provoked into conflict. Iran mourned the loss of prominent statesman Ali Larijani but affirmed that the country’s governance system remains strong and capable of managing challenges effectively.
In response to US narratives of invincibility, Motlagh highlighted Iran’s use of advanced battlefield technologies that have proven effective against American forces. He debunked the notion of American superiority, citing instances where Iranian forces successfully countered US military assets, including the reported downing of an F-35 Lightning II aircraft. Iran’s military capabilities have demonstrated their ability to confront and deter perceived threats effectively.
