Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) revealed a new underground missile base amidst escalating tensions with the United States. The base was showcased during a visit by Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Abdolrahim Mousavi and Seyed Majid Mousavi, commander of the IRGC’s Aerospace Division. The IRGC’s missile units’ capabilities and operational readiness were evaluated during the visit, with senior Iranian armed forces commanders briefed on the strategic unit’s progress and preparedness.
Mousavi emphasized Iran’s enhancement of deterrence power through the technical advancement of its ballistic missiles. He stated that Iran is prepared for any hostile actions and has shifted its military doctrine from defensive to offensive, focusing on rapid, large-scale operations and asymmetric warfare strategies following a recent conflict with Israel. Tensions between Iran and the United States persist, fueled by Washington’s increased military presence near Iran and threats of potential attacks.
Amidst these tensions, Mousavi cautioned the United States against any missteps, warning that Iran’s response could trigger a regional conflict. He highlighted that any American error would lead to severe repercussions, endangering US interests and sparking widespread unrest in the region.
