Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his personal involvement in promoting peace, stability, and regional collaboration during their recent phone call. Pezeshkian expressed satisfaction with the successful organization of the BRICS Energy Ministers’ Meeting in India, as per the Embassy of Iran in India. He expressed optimism for continued cooperation between Iran and India within multilateral frameworks like BRICS.
President Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s dedication to strengthening ties with India, citing the countries’ historical relationship and mutual respect. He highlighted the vast potential for enhanced collaboration in political, economic, commercial, transit, and international matters. Pezeshkian stressed the importance of increased coordination to identify new opportunities for expanding bilateral relations.
During the conversation, Pezeshkian underscored Iran’s commitment to fulfilling its obligations to end hostilities and bring about lasting peace. He urged all parties to uphold their responsibilities to establish stability and security in the region. The Iranian President also called for global efforts to prevent aggression and the use of force in international relations.
