Iran’s Army Chief, Amir Hatami, cautioned the United States about risking its own security, as well as that of Israel and the West Asia region. Hatami, speaking at a festival in Tehran, highlighted the readiness of Iranian armed forces amidst escalating tensions with Washington. He emphasized that any mistake by the enemy would endanger their security and that of Israel and the region.
He welcomed neighboring countries’ pledges not to allow their territory or airspace to be used against Iran, stating that any insecurity against Iran would create regional instability. Hatami stressed the importance of treating the Iranian nation with respect to resolve issues peacefully. The warning comes amid increased tensions between Tehran and Washington, with US President Donald Trump mentioning a significant military presence heading towards Iran.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty urged the US and Iran to resume negotiations for a peaceful resolution to the nuclear issue. Abdelatty emphasized the need for diplomatic solutions to prevent the region from descending into insecurity and instability. He called for continued communication among concerned parties to bring both the US and Iran back to the negotiating table for a peaceful settlement based on mutual respect and shared interests.
