Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi revealed that Iran possesses intelligence regarding Israel’s intentions to target its infrastructure. Araghchi emphasized Iran’s readiness to respond decisively if such attacks occur, stating that Iranians do not initiate hostilities but retaliate strongly when provoked. He highlighted Iran’s previous responses to attacks on its energy infrastructure by the United States and Israel, underscoring the nation’s commitment to defending its civilian sites.
Araghchi also referenced joint Israeli and American strikes on Iranian cities in February, resulting in casualties including Iran’s Supreme Leader and military personnel. In response, Iran launched counterattacks on Israeli and US assets in the region using missiles and drones. Meanwhile, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed a desire for peaceful relations with Muslim countries, attributing recent tensions to US and Israeli actions. Pezeshkian proposed establishing a security framework involving Middle Eastern Muslim nations to promote regional peace and stability.
