Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) launched an attack on a US early-warning radar system and military facilities at Kuwait’s Ali Al Salem Air Base. The IRGC reported that the radar system was destroyed in a drone strike, while a separate attack targeted a warehouse and drone hangar, igniting drones. The IRGC warned Kuwait against allowing its territory to be used for military operations that harm Muslims in various countries.
The IRGC emphasized that Kuwait should not harbor a terrorist army responsible for attacks on Muslim nations, urging Kuwaitis to protect Islamic lands. The statement condemned US military actions and called for Kuwait to prevent aggression against Muslims. In another incident, the IRGC intercepted and downed a US MQ-9 drone in Iran’s Ahvaz, part of ongoing retaliatory actions against US military targets in the region.
Major General Ali Abdollahi of the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters cautioned that Iran’s Armed Forces would respond severely to any US aggression. He highlighted Iran’s defensive capabilities as crucial for national security and the well-being of its people. Abdollahi warned against US attempts to sow discord internally, emphasizing the importance of unity in countering such efforts.
