Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei highlighted the importance of a new “legal framework” and management system for the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. He stated that this initiative would bring progress and comfort to all nations in the region. Khamenei praised Iran’s sacrifices for the region’s independence and its role in countering foreign aggression.
The Supreme Leader mentioned that the Persian Gulf has historically attracted the greed of various oppressors, leading to invasions and threats. He emphasized that the new management system for the Strait of Hormuz would enhance economic benefits and development for the region. Khamenei expressed optimism for a future free of American influence in the Persian Gulf.
Khamenei underscored the unity among the peoples of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, rejecting foreign interference in the region. He affirmed Iran’s commitment to safeguarding national assets, including nuclear, missile, nano, and bio technologies. The Supreme Leader condemned the US military presence in the Persian Gulf, attributing it to regional insecurity and advocating for a future without American involvement.
