Indian Rare Earths Limited (IREL India) will open a “Rare Earth and Titanium Theme Park” in Bhopal this Saturday. The park, part of the National Critical Minerals Mission, aims to enhance India’s self-reliance in the mineral sector. It is designed on the “Lab-to-Product” concept to bridge the gap between research and industrial application.
The inauguration will be led by Ajit K. Mohanty, Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission. The park, based on the 3P framework—Process, Performance, and People, will focus on showcasing advanced technologies and setting industrial standards. It will also emphasize skill development through training and capacity building.
The facility will highlight methods for producing essential metals like Neodymium and Cerium for various industries. It will also demonstrate technologies for recycling magnets to recover valuable elements, promoting a circular economy. The park’s establishment is a significant move towards India’s mineral independence and reducing import dependence.
With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, the Rare Earth and Titanium Theme Park is expected to drive innovation, create job opportunities, and contribute to environmental conservation. It marks a crucial milestone in India’s journey towards self-reliance in critical minerals, positioning the country as a key player in the global mineral economy.
