Actors Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth marked the Maharashtrian New Year, Gudi Padwa, in a unique way. Vatsal chose to drink a mixture of bitter Neem leaves, symbolizing acceptance of life’s experiences, both good and bad. He shared a video on Instagram where he drank the bitter mixture in front of Ishita.

Vatsal offered the drink to Ishita first, but she declined. After tasting it, he commented, “It’s not that bad…it’s not that bad.” The tradition of consuming bitter neem leaves on Gudi Padwa signifies embracing life’s joys and sorrows with grace, marking the beginning of the Maharashtrian New Year.

The couple, who met on the set of “Rishton Ka Saudagar – Baazigar,” got married in 2017. They welcomed a baby boy in July 2023 and a baby girl named Veda in June 2025. Ishita often shares her motherhood journey on social media, recently expressing the chaos and joy of parenting through a heartfelt post and selfie on Instagram.
